Kenney Communications has been an active member of the Central Florida Hotel/Lodging Association since 1988. Barbara was honored in 2000 with the Allied of the Year Award and served on the association's Board of Directors in 2003. Brenda Spencer currently serves on the Allied Relations Council.

Barbara was recognized as the Allied Of the Year in 1996, and currently serves on the Board of Directors as thegolf liason. Ruth Ann Kenney was recognized as Allied of the Year in 2006. Tera L. Kenney was recognized as Allied of the Year in 2008.
Kenney Communications has been a member of the International Association of Professional Brochure Distributors since 1996. In 2002 & 2003, Barbara served as president of the association.
Kenney Communications has been a member of the International Drive Chamber of Commerce since 1985. Barbara is serving her 9th year on the Board of Directors, and chairs the Annual Police Ball's Silent Auction.
Kenney Communications has been a member of the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce since 1986. Barbara is serving her 10th year on the Board of Directors of the Osceola Resort Area Council, the chambers council for the Highway 192 Tourism Corridor, and served as ORAC's Chairperson in 2005 and 2006.
